A little preview of what could be happening to Danny and Alex in the near future...

A loud sound came from outside the stall, the sound of laughter. Loud shouts of 'Aye!' and 'get rid of 'em both!' came through the door. We both stiffened. I slipped my hand further into his and took another shaky breath.
“Alex...there's something I need tae tell you...and if this is going tae be it, well, it might as well be now.”
“What are you talking about, Danny?” He sounded scared.
“Look, Ah'm not exactly who you think I am...” Here we go again. “I...I'm a-” the door burst open and Fredrick walked in followed by two other men. “Alex.” I whispered in terror.
“Guess what boys? We know what we're gonna do with you!” the sergeant smiled, which turned to a look of surprise when he looked at me. “Well, look who got out of his gag, boys.” the men laughed. “Can't have you two talking can we? Not that its gonna matter soon anyways.” they laughed again and came forward. Cutting the ropes that bound us together, they hauled me up first and then Alex. We were brought into the main section of the barn where the rest of the men waited in a rowdy circle. In the middle was a small stool, used maybe for milking cows, but above it, hanging over a beam and clutched in the strong looking grip of a huge man, was a noose.
